One expert to rule them all
I couldn't help myself (↑) lol. Lord of the rings jokes aside - my hope really is that VirtualExperts is where we "rule them all." The idea is that someone shouldn't have to love AI to benefit from it - Imagine a world where admins/bookkeepers/real estate brokers/accountants/contractors… AI natives… manage AI experts on your behalf. It's easy-button AI for the masses. Push it and AI chats get WAY more useful.
A little about me
At a very high level, I design and build useful user experiences - AR/VR and AI - for wearable, mobile, and web. One thing is consistent in everything I do... I'm obsessed with user-centric, intuitive design.
I've got 12+ years out here at the actual edge of tech, learning through experience. I used to manage a team of 16 developers - working on government, military, and Fortune 500 XR stuff. I did the math and in 2023 numbers - I'm now a 24-dev solo team of 1. AI is a superpower. It's wild.

The career arc
Started with hiring out all dev work. Came up with a few game ideas, spent $10k to make them, made about $200… oof. An expensive, but necessary education.
First design clients. Storyboarding AR scenes in Sketch, faking 3D UI with 2D tools, building the visual language for interfaces. Here, a hobby became a passion.
Sold everything, spent 3 months in Thailand learning iOS dev. Apple launched Swift mid-trip - first pivot. Learned to appreciate "build failed".
C# in a month to contribute code. Dart for Flutter after that. Then MERN for the web. If it's a C-based language, I'm pretty confident I can create with it.
Brought design thinking to Unity and data architecture. Built a remote assist app for CareAR (acquired by Xerox). Defense and industry R&D apps. FDA-approved surgery app. Lots of fun!
VirtualExperts. All of it - design, systems thinking, context architecture - applied to AI. The thing I wished existed when I was juggling five projects at once.
AI Together
There are 2 kinds of people when it comes to AI right now.
The first kind is all in. They've figured out that with the right setup, one person can do the work of many. They're building context, chasing the edge, shipping every day. For them the problem isn't using AI - it's that the good setups live in their account and don't go anywhere. Every new project, every teammate, every client starts from scratch.
The second kind is watching. Not because they're slow or because they don't care. The learning curve is real. To do anything more useful than "advanced Google", there's a whole layer of work under the surface that nobody talks about. Getting the right information into the right place so that AI can actually use it. If you're not the kind of person who finds that kinda thing fun - or you simply don't have the time to micromanage context - the whole thing stalls before it starts.
THIS IS WHY I'm doing this - the second group doesn't need to do that work themselves. I want to empower the 25-person AI whisperer in a way that lets them extend their newfound superhuman abilities to their family, their friends, and their clients. Let's be real… we all kinda want a human in the loop right? This is that human's workspace.
That's what "AI Together" means. Your accountant builds the Expert. Your real estate broker builds it. Your lawyer, your bookkeeper - they do all the tedious setup through highly leveraged AI tooling they're already using to run their business. The goal is more relevant answers grounded in the context you choose to share. AI can still make mistakes, so important answers and actions need human review.
So... VirtualExperts is built for both. For the people who love this stuff, it's where you can actually leverage what you build to serve others. For everyone else, it means you don't have to love AI to benefit from it.
Neither group gets left behind. Let's goooooo!
Concepts
Agentic Allowance
The internal budget every person has for how much they're okay letting AI do autonomously - modeled on Tim Ferriss's VA spending threshold.
Breadcrumbing
Leaving AI-optimized README docs behind in a codebase so you can resume complex sessions instantly without re-explaining the whole system.
Human-Assisted AI
Your broker builds the Expert. Their knowledge powers it. You get relevant answers at 10pm - and they're still in the loop if something doesn't add up.
